Oak and yew wood longcase clock by George Carruthers of Pershore
An arch dial, 8-day longcase clock by George Carruthers of Pershore. The brass dial has a beautifully engraved and silvered centre with a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture. The corners have brass spandrels with the silvered name plate in the arch. The movement strikes hourly on a bell. The oak case has an elegant, wavy top, long door, crossbanded in yew. The trunk also has quarter columns to the corners. The hood has turned pillars to the sides with brass capitals and the top has 3 pillars supporting 3 ball & spires with fretwork between.

An oak and mahogany longcase clock by R Halliday of Gatehouse. The 8-day movement strikes hourly on a bell. The painted dial has floral decoration in the arch with a subsidiary seconds and date ring. There are quarter turned reeded columns to the trunk and full turned reeded columns to the hood. To the top of the hood is a swanneck pediment with a finial to the centre.Width 20 ½” (52cm)

A mahogany and boxwood strung wheel barometer by L Biaggini, London. Towards the top and bottom of the barometer there is a floral inlay and to the side there are shell inlays. At the top there is a broken arch pediment. Above the barometer dial there is a long thermometer tube

30 HOUR LONGCASE CLOCK BY W T MENEFY
A 30 hour longcase clock by W T Menefy of Whitchurch. The 11 inch square, painted dial movement has a subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, striking hourly on a bell. The teak case was made at a later date, probably about 1920 but is very well made from substantial sections of wood. The hood has a locking door and has turned columns with brass capitals to either side

OAK AND FRUITWOOD LONGCASE CLOCK BY CARTER OF SALISBURY
A square dial, 8-day longcase clock by Carter of Salisbury. The painted dial has gilt decoration to the corners, Roman numerals, a date aperture and the name Carter of Sarum, this being the old English name for Salisbury. The movement strikes hourly on a bell. The oak case has fruitwood crossbanding to the trunk door and fruitwood columns to the hood and frieze. To the top of the hood there is a dentil cornice

MAHOGANY CASED 8-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK
A magnificent quality, Georgian, longcase clock in mahogany. The movement is 8-day striking hourly on a bell. In the arch of the painted dial there is Britannia holding her trident and union flag shield with the British lion at her feet, and to the left of that there are 2 old galleons in the distance. The 12” arch dial has painted gilt decoration to the corners, roman numeral chapter ring, a seconds and date ring and the makers name Thompson of Woodbridge (near Ipswich in Suffolk)across the centre. The case isveneeredincurl or flame mahogany and to either side of the hood door there are turned and fluted columns with brass splines and brass capitals above and below. To the front of the pagoda top hood there is a finely fret cut panel with silk behind and has inspection windows to the sides to view the movement.

A carved oak longcase clock by Joseph Baldry of London striking hourly on a bell. The 8-day movement has 5 fine ring turned pillars and supports a 12”arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture with the name plate in the arch. The case is well made with the carving being added in Victorian times. The trunk has quarter fluted columns down the corners. The hood has side windows to view the movement.

12” DIAL CLOCK BY TAYLOR OF COVENTRY
A single fusee dial clock by Taylor of Coventry. The mahogany case for the 12”brass bezel has inspection doors to the right hand side and bottom, this enables one to hang the pendulum on to the suspension point and also adjust the bottom of the pendulum for regulating the clock.
